I am an Associate-Licensed Therapist, Mental Health Expert, and Doula Apprentice. I was born and raised in Southern California. I moved to Georgia to attend graduate school, and this has been my home ever since. I enjoy reading, yoga, shopping, and roller skating. I also enjoy helping others put together outfits to look and feel good.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and my Master’s in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. I specialize in providing holistic mental health practices to help folks address disordered eating, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and issues related to body image. Under the supervision of Erica Grant, LCSW, I help people reconnect with themselves and learn to uncover their intuition by integrating practices of their mind, body, and spirit. I utilize ACT techniques, yoga, and meditation techniques, CBT techniques, and DBT techniques to help folks live an authentic life.
The folks I work with may struggle with feeling and managing their emotions- they may hide their anxiety, guilt, shame, or sadness. They may worry about their weight, feel guilty about how much food they eat, or limit themselves to very specific food groups. Before finding a safe therapeutic space, the people I partner with felt concerned that they would fail at raising their children or not having the life they desire. They believed their experiences happened so long ago that they should no longer be bothered by them. They feared they would not be heard or understood or that their transition into motherhood should erase their emotional struggles.
